The place is incomparably beautiful. There is some disorganization and deficiencies in information both on the online site and on site. We were unable to book a guided tour. The parking lot is disturbing and poorly attended.

The time reservation with the ticket is a great idea and it worked well, in fact we skipped the line and got in right away at the appointed time. The only negative thing is the quantity and quality of information on the audio guide, which is practically 0.

We were completely amazed by the incomparable beauty and uniqueness of the rooms and exhibits. It was an unforgettable experience for us and we will definitely visit this palace again. Both the gardens and the palace are easily accessible. We were also very impressed with the quality of the audio guide. Many thanks to the Reggia Caserta team

Tickets a bit more expensive than buying directly at the palace, and then we found out that teachers don't pay so we paid for tickets that otherwise would have been season tickets.... Cmq the palace of Caserta is beautiful especially its gardens are wonderful.

Good morning, the park very nice but inside the building the HEADOUT app was not getting a signal so we went through the tour without being able to hear any explanation. Me, my wife and daughter, with three different operators had the same problem. In my opinion you should have been more clear and explicit about this risk. Sincerely Thank you David

I expected the shuttle to be free or at least included and specified when purchasing tickets and not have another line. Then there is to say the lack of reduced price for seventy-year-olds . The well-maintained English garden but lacking drinking fountains .

The app's audio guide only works for 3 or 4 rooms per floor, whereas the palace's audio guide works for all rooms. The wifi network works very poorly, so we couldn't use Google translation for the explanatory panels. No map provided. We couldn't find the souvenir store, very poorly signposted.

I put "good" only for bn Walter professor and of letters very knowledgeable and nice. He interested us without boring us. The small group was indeed such and therefore pleasant . Unfortunately, the visit was marred by many school groups with small children ( elementary) screaming and certainly not interested given their age. Endless lines everywhere ... obviously the fault is not of the tour operator but of the organization of the Reggia which should reserve only some days for school groups so as not to spoil the visit for others.

Easy to use and good value for site entry and getting around. Got on train from Sorrento to Herculaneum not knowing it only stopped a few times a day. Went through to Naples and easily caught the train to Herculaneum without extra cost or trouble. 😂

Great once I got the cards but there was a problem getting them activated (technical at Artecarc!) , I had to email several times and eventually telephone a couple of times, quite stressful on holiday!

I am basically an IT dinosaur and did not find the experience of using the Artecard easy, especially as the signal to my phone when we were in Italy was, at best, problematical. However Headout staff were most helpful when I contacted them.

Cost saving was the best thing. Using the card for travel was confusing, since you couldn't scan anything, but they would usually let you in for free if you mentioned the card. Head out was ok, helpful with setting up the app.

Royal Palace of Caserta, Versailles of Southern Europe

Don’t miss exploring the Royal Palace of Caserta, Italy’s answer to Versailles and one of the largest palaces in the world (by volume). Retrace the lifestyle of Bourbon royalty as you wander through sprawling English gardens with cascading fountains, luxuriously decorated apartments, a precious art collection, and much more. Located just 40 minutes from Naples, this masterpiece of Italian Baroque is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Book your tickets and plan a seamless visit with our handy guide.

Things to know before buying Royal Palace of Caserta tickets

  • We strongly recommend buying your tickets online to avoid long queues that can stretch up to 30 minutes to an hour (especially in peak season) and to secure your preferred time slot. Note that tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable, so double-check your plans before booking.

  • If you have wisely availed yourself of the Artecard Campania, you can enter for free by using one of your two free visits with the 3-day card, or one of five free sites with the 7-day card. Else, you’re entitled to a reduced ticket price starting from €7.

  • The palace is one of the largest in the world, with around 1,200 rooms, only a quarter of which are open to public exploration. The Royal Park itself is three kilometers long, stretching out from the rear of the building and up a hill. A guided tour is a smart way to streamline your experience, enjoy exciting insights about its rich Bourbon heritage, and cover all the major and minor highlights.

  • For an even more exclusive experience, upgrade to a private tour. With a dedicated guide at your side, you'll enjoy a fully personalized itinerary that’s tailored just for you. Plus, you get to skip the lines like true royalty with priority access. Think of it as your very own Caserta experience, minus the crown—unless you bring one!

  • Citizens of the European Union, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein between the ages of 18 and 24 (up to their 25th birthday) can get discounted tickets. A valid ID is required. Free entry is also available for people under 18, individuals with disabilities, accompanying school groups, Italian teachers, scholars, professors, tutors, university students for study purposes, and both Italian and foreign journalists.

  • Caserta Palace is a popular getaway from Naples. If you're visiting from Naples, take the easy button and get tickets with round-trip transfers. From your travel logistics to priority entry at the venue, everything is taken care of.

  • The Caserta Palace offers free entry on the first Sunday of the month. Please note that the Palace can be unusually crowded these days. Also, certain areas like the English gardens within the Royal Park might be closed.

  • Your Caserta Palace tickets use a time-slot entry system. Each section, including the Apartments, Royal Park, Court Theatre, Palatine Chapel, Gran Gallery, and English Gardens, has unique opening hours. Knowing these timings allows you to choose an ideal slot and craft a perfect itinerary to maximize your exploration.
